Libianca hits 100 Million streams on Spotify in just 88 days making it the fastest African solo song to hit 100 million.
How did Rema set this record ?
On February 11th, 2022 Rema released ‘ Calm Down‘, a song off his debut studio album Rave & Roses which has grown to become the most viewed Nigerian song of all time in just one year ( 12 months).
Before setting the record above, The Jonzing World/Marvin Records signee had set a record on Spotify with the song ‘Calm Down’ as the fastest Nigerian/African song to reach 100 million streams in just 197 days as reported by his official fanpage ( Rema News)
On December 6th, 2022 Cameroonian singer, Libianca released her breakout song ‘People‘ which has grown to beat many records set by other African artistes and the world at large. Achieving 100 Million Spotify streams wasn’t an exceptional song for this piece which talks about depression & loneliness.
This milestone was achieved 2 days after the release of ‘People Remix‘ where Libianca featured Marvin Records signee, Ayra Starr and Keyqaad artiste Omah Lay.
