Cameroon’s football team has been sanctioned in the 2022 Deaflympics, and their victory over Brazil has been overturned!
“Due to a breach of regulations by the Cameroon team, the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) decided to change the outcome of the match on April 30th,” the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) said (Cameroon 3-2 Brazil).
The Cameroonian squad thus lost the game’s points, and the official score is now ‘Brazil 3-0 Cameroon.’
The cause was not stated, but Brazilian media Pionero discovered that Cameroon did not undergo any accreditation or audiometry testing prior to the game.
The Cameroonian team landed in Brazil barely one day before the match.
